Driver

Our client in the Oil & Gas Sector is seeking to onboard a Driver on a temporary contract.

Job Summary:
The Driver/ Courier is mainly responsible for safely and efficiently transporting items, documents, or passengers from one location to another, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the security and condition of the items or individuals being transported. The Driver must also always maintain confidentiality.

Job Duties:

• Ensures utilities bills are paid in a timely manner.
• Transports cheques and mail to various vendors and government offices.
• Makes bank deposits and Amex payments when and as necessary.
• Certifies cheques and conversions at the bank.
• Transports any required samples from our offices to various vendors.
• Transports gas canisters to Procom to facilitate the testing procedures.
• Transports boxes from our record center to Head Office when and as necessary.
• Provides transportation support to all departments.
• Coordinates any driving arrangements needed internally.
• Ensures vehicles are serviced and inspected as necessary.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good knowledge of the geography of Trinidad and Tobago.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Friendly and approachable personality with a customer-oriented mindset.

Job Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Driver’s License for over 15 years.
• Defensive Driving Certification is considered an asset
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Driver/ Courier role.
• Certificate of Good Character
• Ability to lift heavy packages and assist with loading/ unloading.
