Service Technician I
Our client in the Port of Spain area is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Service Technician I to join their Business Equipment Division.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic organization that services a portfolio of Canon Business Equipment and other ICT solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as a frontline technical representative with both internal and external customers and be responsible for providing field-based and office-based technical support, repairs, and customer service.

Salary: $7,000 + $1,500 Travel Allowance (TTD monthly)
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain Canon business equipment and other related ICT hardware.
- Complete all assigned work orders accurately and efficiently.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues to supervisors or vendor support channels.
- Provide timely and accurate cost estimates to the sales support team.
- Collect payments from clients upon completion of service jobs.
- Support the Sales team with technical insights and advice.
- Return replaced parts from rental units to the office for inventory control.
- Attend training sessions and maintain up-to-date technical skills.
- Deliver exceptional service experiences to foster positive customer relationships.
- Adhere to all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, in alignment with the role.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Secondary school certification in Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar technical or customer support role is an asset
- Familiarity with Canon copiers, business equipment, and other ICT/Business equipment would be an asset
- Working knowledge of computer networking principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office 365.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be physically capable of handling equipment (up to 40 lbs).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A relevant combination of education and experience would also be considered.
- Awareness of proper HSE procedures
