Junior Accountant Trainee

The Junior Accountant Trainee contributes toward the efficient and effective workings of the Finance Department by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail and assimilation of information. This role will include the preparation of schedules and journals to assist in the preparation of the financial statements and statutory returns as well as assisting in the day to day functions of the department.

Payment and Receipt Processing
• Recording and processing payments
• Receipting and rollover of Investments
Audit and Reporting
• Assist with the preparation of monthly compliance report
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and associated duties
• Prepare Audit schedules and assisting with auditor’s queries
Reconciliation
• Verify and clear items on the intercompany reconciliation.
• Preparation and Clearing of Bank Recs
• Prepare CPC & Tax Reconciliation.
• Prepare Intercompany Reconciliations and confirm balances for month end reporting.
• Enter and prepare monthly journals including Intercompany reconciliations and confirm balances for month end reporting
VAT & Exchange Rate Processing
• Prepare monthly VAT and withholding tax for specific islands.
• Prepare and submit exchange rates.

Education/Experience
• Completed Level 1 ACCA and pursuing Level 2
• AML Compliance Certificate
• Sound knowledge of Accounting Principles
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience preparing account reconciliations on high volume accounts
