Junior Accountant

In the role of a Junior Accountant, you are responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records of all company receipts and disbursements, ensuring transactions are properly recorded, classified, and reconciled in accordance with established accounting standards and internal controls.

Salary Range: $15,000 TTD

Treasury & Investments – Manages treasury operations by anticipating local and foreign currency cash needs, mitigating currency risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance for statutory funds. Oversees investment activities, reconciliations, and audit preparations, while maintaining banking relationships and accurate records across territories. Processes payments, monitors credit card settlements, and conducts monthly expense and accrual analyses to support sound financial management.

Bank Reconciliations – Prepared and reviewed bank reconciliations within set deadlines, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items and accurate provision of bank statements and balances.

Financial Reporting & Regulatory Compliance – Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, regulatory returns, and tax calculations in compliance with applicable standards and deadlines. Support audit processes by preparing detailed schedules and responding to queries, maintaining error-free documentation to meet statutory and business requirements.

Education:

• BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field
• Level 2 ACCA, pursuing Level 3 or equivalent qualification
• 5 CXC/CSEC Passes including English Language and Mathematics.
• 2 A’ Level/ CAPE passes

Work Experience & Knowledge:

• At least three (3) years’ experience in the accounting/auditing field
• Knowledge of Oracle Financials.
  
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Demonstrates a strong command of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and effective management of receivables to maintain.
