Custodian

Custodian scope of works ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for children and staff.

Location: San Fernando
Transport: Must own vehicle
Workday: Monday to Friday (8am-4pm)
Weekend: 8am-12noon
Salary Range: $5,000 – $5,500
Duration: 1 year contract

Cleaning duties are handled by two custodians on site.
1. Floors and Surfaces:
– Remove furniture and obstacles as necessary.
– Sweep, vacuum, and scrub all hard surface floors (tiles), wipe walls and doors using appropriate cleaning solutions.
– Ensure all floors are thoroughly dried and free of residue.
2. Toilets and Bath Areas:
– Deep clean and disinfect all toilets, sinks and shower areas.
– Scrub tile walls and floors, ensuring the removal of soap scum and mildew.
– Wipe down mirrors, faucets, and other fixtures.
3. Bedrooms and Sleep Areas:
– Strip bedding and launder all linens (if applicable).
– Dust and wipe all surfaces, including beds, dressers, and shelves.
– Vacuum or mop floors, ensuring corners and under beds are thoroughly cleaned.
– Check for and remove any items left by children.
4. Kitchen Area:
– Clean and sanitize all countertops, sinks, and kitchen appliances (ovens, microwaves, refrigerators).
– Deep clean all cabinetry and wipe down the insides.
– Mop and disinfect kitchen floors.
5. Walkways and Laundry Areas:
– Sweep and mop all hallways and laundry areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
– Wipe down any surfaces in the laundry area, including washers and dryers.
6. Recreational Rooms:
– Deep clean all recreational furniture, including tables, chairs, and equipment.
– Dust and wipe down any play structures or equipment.
– Deep clean and mop any hard floor surfaces.
– Ensure play materials are sanitized and organized.
