Sales Manager – Spirits & Tobacco

Position Title: Sales Manager – Spirits & Tobacco

Primary Objectives: This is a Senior position within the organization. The role involves ownership of the annual sales volume, forecasting, budget, marketing and profitability targets for the department through the management of all aspects of the marketing mix.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Develops and implements trade initiatives to achieve targeted sales volumes of the Company’s products to specified customers and through specified
  • Maintains close and personal working relationships with Trade customers, major clients and
  • Conducts and oversees meetings with Sales Managers/Sales Reps/Distribution and operations in all areas to ensure adequacy of supply and to deal with any other concerns that may
  • Develops and implements selling strategies and plans for all company brands and
  • Holds regular meetings with marketing teams to assess
  • Oversees brand/sales plan execution within the local market and participates actively in the design and execution of trade, promotion and distribution plans within the
  • Keeps abreast of market trends and competitor activities.
  • Monitors and oversees sales of all the Company’s products to trade within the
  • Oversees, reviews and monitors the operations of delivery service providers to customers in trade as needed to ensure that the company’s service standards are maintained, and necessary improvements recommended and
  • Coaches and manages all Sales staff under purview to ensure that the highest level of customer service and satisfaction are delivered always, and a high-performance culture is
  • Develops and actions management routines e. sales meetings etc. for the sales teams. (quality management system).

  • Assists Chief Executive Officer in creating, delivering and monitoring sales strategies for the company, the product range and the designated
  • Works closely with Chief Executive Officer in developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets that drive business

  • Oversees the organization’s market development for products by utilizing best practice strategic planning processes to support and drive business
  • Acts as an ambassador and role model for the
  • Provides leadership and direction on the day-to-day operations of the sales and marketing departments, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals and meeting of performance objectives.
  • Develops a strong understanding of the sales, distribution, marketing & promotion processes thereby ensuring customers and business needs are fully
  • Leads or assists with special projects that involves RTM/sales
  • Monitors and manages distributors/franchisee performances and SLA’s.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Marketing
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing or similar field will be an asset
  • At least seven (7) years’ sales and/or marketing experience in a similar field will be an
  • Experience with Planning, Financials and Budgetary
  • Experience working with International
