Welder
Our client in the Energy Support Services Industry is currently seeking Welders
Hourly Rate: $1,691.61 GYD
Job Summary
Perform welding duties including cutting, fitting and welding various types of materials.
Job Duties
- Fabricate downhole drilling equipment, including stabilizers.
- Work with management to estimate time frame on welding jobs.
- Responsible for manufacturing and repair functions in the welding shop.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Repairs products by reshaping and straightening.
- Ensure awareness of, and compliance with, relevant company/customer QHSE requirements.
- Perform other duties as required by Supervisor.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) preferred.
- 1 year of welding experience preferred.
- Equivalent combination of experience and/or training
Knowledge/Skills
- Capable of reading and comprehending manufacturing blue prints with moderate assistance.
- Current knowledge of equipment, materials, and practices used in the welding trade.
- Complete tasks and follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, in accordance with applicable procedures and/or work order.
Other Information:
- Days of Work:5 days a week, overtime and weekends when necessary
- Hours of Work: 8 hr days
