Plant Operator – Guyana
Job Summary:
The Plant Operator will perform for a range of responsibilities to ensure optimal, and safe operation of the plant in an efficient manner, training in all processing information, coordinating activities, developing, and directing processes.
- All operations concerning the ancillary equipment, training in the proper functioning of all equipment, working jointly with other company technicians and machine operators, so that the work be executed under the standards of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment.
- Comply with the QHSE Training and Training schedules
Key Responsibilities and duties
- Ensure that all general safety rules are followed.
- Operate the system safely, so that the operation is as optimal as possible.
- Check the oil content of the dry matter by measuring the retort at set intervals specified.
- Check the quality of the produced oil and water – visual assessment.
- Keep the plant clean of dirt and oil.
- Keeping track of spare parts, tools etc.
- Prevent unnecessary disruptions by continuously checking for leaks and other disruptions etc.
- Carry out necessary repairs / replacements / maintenance after consultation with plant operator senior.
- Inform directly the plant operator senior in case of abnormal operating conditions.
- Follow instructions on work execution, including safety instructions in accordance with environmental and occupational health manual.
- Train on the thermal plant equipment proper, efficient and safe operations.
- Efficiently assist and execute all responsibilities assigned by the plant operator senior.
- Knowing, complying with and enforcing thermal plant operating procedures
- Receive and verify equipment when they arrive at location and report to plant operator senior.
- Perform repairs and maintenance of thermal plant equipment.
- Respond for the integrity, good order and cleanliness of plant tools and equipment.
- Report to the plant operator senior possible risks, spills or problems that arise in the operation.
- Immediately report to the plant operator senior any incidents (however minor it may seem) affecting workers, the environment and equipment.
- Attend and participate in daily Quality, Safety and Environment meetings
- Staying in work areas authorized by the plant operator senior.
- Unload equipment and mechanical assembly of equipment according to the plant operator senior.
- Deliver the shift and record in the ledger notebook-
- Comply with company and customer QHSE policies
- Comply with the proper use and maintenance of PPE
- Actively participate in the development of STOP cards
- Responsible for maintaining order and cleanliness in work areas
- Responsible for imparting his knowledge to his subordinates
- Responsible for maintaining an environment of respect and professional treatment with the workers involved in the project
Requirements:
- National Criminal History Check
- Current Valid Driver’s License.
- Diploma or Certificate from a recognized institution
- 2-3 years working experience in a similar role.
- Must have the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, duties, responsibilities, and the management of time while meeting deadlines.
