Job Title: Accounts Officer
Job Summary:
Eve Anderson Recruitment Guyana Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Officer to join our Accounts department. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate data entry for bookkeeping, payroll processing, and ensuring compliance with established practices and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Process:
- Assist with bank reconciliation for Eve Scotiabank GYD local account.
- Ensure all cheque payments from clients are received and deposited.
- Follow up on Accounts Receivable/credit and collections weekly.
- Record all invoice payments received via cheque or bank transfer.
- Prepare Accounts Payable to suppliers when required.
- Assist with preparation of monthly statutory payments to governmental bodies.
Payroll Process:
- Collect daily, weekly, fortnightly, and monthly employee timesheets/data.
- Calculate employee work hours, benefits, and deductions.
- Prepare employee compensation checks using payroll software.
- Ensure tax compliance with company and local regulations.
- Schedule electronic payments for review and approval.
- Prepare payroll reports and distribute pay slips via email.
- Respond to employee questions about compensation, taxes, benefits, and deductions.
- Enter new employee data into the company database.
- Prepare payroll reporting for review and statutory payments.
- Prepare year-end statutory documentation.
Invoicing Process:
- Prepare Pro forma Invoices (where applicable).
- Prepare invoices for all services performed.
- Enter invoices into accounting software and mail/email invoices to clients.
- Reconcile payroll records and confirm accurate tax withholding and remittance.
- Prepare audit reports as requested.
Quality:
- Adhere to Eve Anderson Recruitment Ltd. code of conduct and operation procedures.
Other:
- Assist with any other departmental or company-related requests.
- Pitch payroll services to clients and engage new business.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in accounting/payroll processing
- Minimum of 5 O’ levels.
- Accounting Certification. ACCA will be an asset
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Knowledge of Quick books
- Experience in the use of Accounting/Payroll Software
